Most families contemplate using bunk beds for their little ones to over come a deficiency of space or via the request of the kid. The one up one down method of bunk bed even though somewhat an exciting venture for small kids can be very hazardous; almost 85% of bed accidents are caused from bunk beds. There are various hazards guardians need to be conscious of when purchasing a bunk bed.

Even though a fall alone might considerably injur a kid, objects around the bunk bed can pose an additional hazard. Objects such as blind cords are considerably dangerous; they could simply become tied around a child’s head and several deaths have occurred due to the child’s robe cord getting tied around the throat in the middle of the the fall. Such incidents are quite uncommon but they do raise the question of how secure our children are in metal bunk beds. Although, kids bunk beds are a great means of construing a little responsibility on your child and as stated prior they are a great space saving device, so they shouldn’t be ignored entirely.

Metal bunk beds are safer now than ever. Improved materials, enhanced construction, and improved design have all factored into a much less hazardous bunk bed than even ten years before. Many bed bunk accidents are a consequence of horseplay, in fact, most incidents are as a result of teenagers playing around on the beds, in particular college dorm lofts and bunk beds. As long as protected behaviour are managed, your child will be alright. Teach them to never jump on the top bunk and how to use the ladder correctly.
